Enjoy the Season Christmas Stretch Card.

Even though its the school holidays I just had to show you this card.  I have been watching shows on Create and Craft here in the UK and they have some lovely card ideas including the Stretch Cards.  I thought I would give it a Cricut make over.

Cuts are from page 20 using all layers and 22 just using the tree and 19 using the snowflakes I think at about 10cm.  I really must keep a note of the sizes better.  Also decorated using the lovely Crystal stickles and a Christmas peel off.  Paper is from the Paper Mill Shop cut from A4 size paper.

Thank you everyone that is following my little blog.  I love all your lovely comments.

Another Buccaneer card this is entered into my first Challenges!

The challenge was just to use something found in the sky like clouds, birds etc
Details on the blog site here: http://papercutzchallenge.blogspot.com/ and also

So I already had this card made which was ideal.  The seagul has been cut out at 10 cms (4 inches) and the words were done about 3 cms (1inch), I think.
The word book is a bought one and covered in paper from a Walmart pad.
Seagull cut at 2inches I think, I did some extra layers to add more dimension.
Ribbon from my stash and have decorated with crab and pirate and other images.

The Album I have made for my Sister In Law when I visit next month.  I do love all the images so far on the Buccaneer cartridge and think its the best one out there.

Thanks for looking.  xx

Now for something totally different but still using the Cricut. :)

Now don't get worried or anything as I haven't gone out and bought the Cricut Cake but just got thinking what I could do with the machines I have got.
I do like cupcakes in moderation of course, well!!  Anyway I make them now and then and have tried icing them.  Last time I made some I bought some rice paper but never used it but then this time I got to thinking maybe it would go in my cricut.  So using my Create I cut out a few shapes using my Elegant cake cartridge and this is how they turned out.  I cut the letters at 10cms and then coloured them with food colouring.

Thanks for looking.  xxSusan

Enjoy the Seasons card

Just got my Enjoy the Seasons cartridge and after looking through it decided on this lovely image.

I used a cream card blank from my stash
the image from page 12
31cm x 31cm white card from Walmart
Printed and cut  10cms on the Cricut
I cut a few extra trees to give it more dimension
and added more flames on the fire and extra layer of wood.

The border of leaves is from Gypsy Wanderings and coloured using my Lime ink pad from Colorbox cat's eyes and I also stamped round the edges of the trees with this.
Then I highlighted areas using my wonderful Stickles, the star dust and Lime green.
The Best wishes is from Elegant Cake Art and its going into
the card box I am making for a friend.
I have just entered this into http://papercutzchallenge.blogspot.com/2011/07/paper-cutz-challenge-101.html please take a look there are some fabulous projects.
Thanks for looking.  xx

Country Carnival wall plaque

Hi all well its almost the school holidays and my son has been on his school outing to Longleat Safari Park and had a great day.  The weather even stayed nice for them.  He said he saw the real Aslan!!  The driver didn't take them through the monkey enclosure and I don't blame him!  http://www.longleat.co.uk/explore/safari

Anyway on to the crafty bit.  I have just received the cartridge Country Carnival and happened to have a bit of Dado rail left over from my lounge makeover so putting them both together I came up with a wall plaque.

My plaque in situ.

I cut the letters out at 6 cms the first one I did with layers the rest without.
Then just glued them on the wooden plaque (dado rail)
to seal it I sprayed a little varnish over it and thats all,
very easy but very decorative.

Hope you all have a good weekend.
We are hopefully going to see Harry Potter.

Buccaneer Birthday Card

I just received the Buccaneer Cartridge this week and cant stop making cards from it.  So far I have made 5 cards and I think most, if not all of my family will get a card made from this, so it is proving to be a good choice.  Which I knew it would, I just had to wait for the price to come down a bit.  It was probably more than I usually pay even now but I couldn't wait any longer. :)  I have cut some of the layers differently by hand as I dont think Cricut have quite got the concept of decoupage.  Hope you like it.  I have got more cards showing in the Cricut MB  UK Imagine Projects thread if  you are interested.

I am not sure who I have made this card for but I loved the look of this Pirate and I am sure I will find someone to send it too!!

Base card is from The Paper Mill Shop
Patterned paper from a friends stash
Mat layers cut from Elegant edges at 10cm & 9cm.
Pirate cut out at 9cm
