Clovelly Village in North Devon

Hello everyone, it is ages since I last posted, now we are all back at College it is still busy!!  I have also done another Craft Fair with another one to do, so exciting stuff.  These are just a few photos of a really lovely village we visited at the weekend.  It is a really quaint village and no vehicles are allowed in the village.  You have to walk down a really steep path all made of cobbles and as you can see it was quite wet which made it slippy.  The day ended up being gorgeous though and we had a great time here, there is a lovely beach and the shops have some unusual items in.
This is the website for the Village:-  http://www.clovelly.co.uk/
Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Hair Grip using Art Philosophy

This is a simple hair grip I made for my stall at the Craft Fair.  They were very popular and so easy to make.  The grips I bought from my local supermarket very cheap. Then using the flowers from Art Philosophy just glued them onto the grips using Pin Flair glue Gel.

Thanks for your comments.

Birthday Card using Better Together and Grand Calibur

As 99% of my die cuts are Spellbinders if not all,  the new ones were on my shopping list and so I had to have the Grand Calibur.  Its great being able to cut and emboss a full A4 or lots of smaller die cuts.  On the edge of this card I used the Classic scallop Edgabilites and I cut the mat out with the Classic triple scallop and the Classic scallop rectangles to make a frame.  Then I used one of the Edgabilities down the side of the frame to cover up the fact I hadnt got the rectangle in the middle of
the frame!!  I placed a bit of paper at the back and the girl and dog from Better together page 20 cut at 3 inches and the sentiment too.  I used some glossy embossing powder to put on the dog, girls hair and dress and also the sentiment.

This is another card I made, as I couldnt stop using the Grand Calibur, its so easy to use and  great for back grounds and edging.

Thanks for looking.  Hope you all had a great summer break.

More Birthday Cakes using Birthday Bash!

Hiya everyone.  Sorry not been around for a while.  Been busy with the boys, it was so nice to have time with my boys during the summer holidays and we had a nice time visiting relatives and a few day trips in the local area, like The Eden project in Cornwall.

This is just to show you the cakes I made for my eldest sons 20th birthday.  I made the flags at 1.5 inch and the letters at 3/4 inch and cheated with the candles.
Thanks for looking.  Hope everyone is having a good crafty day.

Birthday Card using Imagine More & Elegant Cake Art

Hi all thanks for taking the time to look at my blog.  This is another birthday card, for my son this time who is going to be 20, can you believe it!  Am I that old to have a twenty year old!!  Guess so!  Anyway I cut out my card blank using one of my templates.  Will have to get organised and try and make a Gypsy file for these.  The card was from The Paper Mill Shop and the frame cut and Owl cut were from "Imagine More" pages 13 & 6.  This cart is so versatile, there seems to be something for everyone on there.  They all go together well so its easy to mix and match too.

The Happy Birthday was from Elegant Cake Art and I just cut it without the shadow.  This is another great cart for phrases especially.  It also has some great borders as you would expect from Martha Stewart.  The background  is from First Edition "Spring Feast" 12x12 pad which has some gorgeous card in.  Half double sided and half glittered then I used some glitter peel offs for borders and embelishments on the side panels and a smattering of stickles.  The plain brown card is by Papermania.  Thanks for looking.

Grandma's Birthday Cakes with Birthday Bash

Got a few birthday's this month and its Grandma's this week.  I made her some cupcakes and decorated using my lovely cricut and the Birthday Bash Cartridge.  It is so easy and no Cricut Cake needed.  Thanks for looking.
Letters were cut at 1 inch and I used Papermania card.  I made some stick out of plastic as my cocktail sticks had gone walkabouts.  The Grandma banner was made from a border from the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art Cartridge and the letters from Birthday Bash were cut out at 1.5 inch with shadow and stuck on with plastic sticks on either side to push into the cakes.  I used balloons from Birthday Bash to decorate either side of the Banner cut at 2 inches.
Welcome also to my latest follower and thanks everyone for all your lovely comments.  Much Appreciated.  XX
