My table at the Craft Fair

This is what my table looked like at the Craft Fair I did at the weekend.  The display the stained glass items are on is what my friend from college made to display her last ceramics project on.  I saw it when she was being assessed and thought what a great idea and she let me have it!

I sold a butterfly, a Noel and a leaf and a few Christmas cards.  So not bad.  Not doing another one now till after Christmas.  I am also thinking of making a blog just to advertise craft fairs on.  So if anyone knows of any send me the details and I will put it up on the blog.  It is just for North Devon Craft fairs.  Thanks for looking.  xx

Christmas Fair 2011

Hiya everyone
Are you organised for Christmas yet!  I am not, I havent made all my Christmas cards let alone sent any.  I have been busy making stuff for the Christmas Fair I am doing at my College.  This is one of my Stained glass items which I am hoping will sell well.

I will also have a selection of cards including Christmas Cards for sale and Jewellery.  I hope everyone in the area can come and have a look.  There are over 20 stalls so there will be lots of top quality crafts to choose from for very individual handmade presents.

Just a few of my cards made mainly using the Grand Calibur and Spellbinder dies.  Thanks for looking.

Clovelly Village in North Devon

Hello everyone, it is ages since I last posted, now we are all back at College it is still busy!!  I have also done another Craft Fair with another one to do, so exciting stuff.  These are just a few photos of a really lovely village we visited at the weekend.  It is a really quaint village and no vehicles are allowed in the village.  You have to walk down a really steep path all made of cobbles and as you can see it was quite wet which made it slippy.  The day ended up being gorgeous though and we had a great time here, there is a lovely beach and the shops have some unusual items in.
This is the website for the Village:-  http://www.clovelly.co.uk/
Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Hair Grip using Art Philosophy

This is a simple hair grip I made for my stall at the Craft Fair.  They were very popular and so easy to make.  The grips I bought from my local supermarket very cheap. Then using the flowers from Art Philosophy just glued them onto the grips using Pin Flair glue Gel.

Thanks for your comments.

Thanks for looking.  Will try and post a selection of cards I have made too.

Birthday Card using Better Together and Grand Calibur

As 99% of my die cuts are Spellbinders if not all,  the new ones were on my shopping list and so I had to have the Grand Calibur.  Its great being able to cut and emboss a full A4 or lots of smaller die cuts.  On the edge of this card I used the Classic scallop Edgabilites and I cut the mat out with the Classic triple scallop and the Classic scallop rectangles to make a frame.  Then I used one of the Edgabilities down the side of the frame to cover up the fact I hadnt got the rectangle in the middle of
the frame!!  I placed a bit of paper at the back and the girl and dog from Better together page 20 cut at 3 inches and the sentiment too.  I used some glossy embossing powder to put on the dog, girls hair and dress and also the sentiment.

This is another card I made, as I couldnt stop using the Grand Calibur, its so easy to use and  great for back grounds and edging.

Thanks for looking.  Hope you all had a great summer break.

More Birthday Cakes using Birthday Bash!

Hiya everyone.  Sorry not been around for a while.  Been busy with the boys, it was so nice to have time with my boys during the summer holidays and we had a nice time visiting relatives and a few day trips in the local area, like The Eden project in Cornwall.

This is just to show you the cakes I made for my eldest sons 20th birthday.  I made the flags at 1.5 inch and the letters at 3/4 inch and cheated with the candles.
Thanks for looking.  Hope everyone is having a good crafty day.

Birthday Card using Imagine More & Elegant Cake Art

Hi all thanks for taking the time to look at my blog.  This is another birthday card, for my son this time who is going to be 20, can you believe it!  Am I that old to have a twenty year old!!  Guess so!  Anyway I cut out my card blank using one of my templates.  Will have to get organised and try and make a Gypsy file for these.  The card was from The Paper Mill Shop and the frame cut and Owl cut were from "Imagine More" pages 13 & 6.  This cart is so versatile, there seems to be something for everyone on there.  They all go together well so its easy to mix and match too.

The Happy Birthday was from Elegant Cake Art and I just cut it without the shadow.  This is another great cart for phrases especially.  It also has some great borders as you would expect from Martha Stewart.  The background  is from First Edition "Spring Feast" 12x12 pad which has some gorgeous card in.  Half double sided and half glittered then I used some glitter peel offs for borders and embelishments on the side panels and a smattering of stickles.  The plain brown card is by Papermania.  Thanks for looking.

Grandma's Birthday Cakes with Birthday Bash

Got a few birthday's this month and its Grandma's this week.  I made her some cupcakes and decorated using my lovely cricut and the Birthday Bash Cartridge.  It is so easy and no Cricut Cake needed.  Thanks for looking.
Letters were cut at 1 inch and I used Papermania card.  I made some stick out of plastic as my cocktail sticks had gone walkabouts.  The Grandma banner was made from a border from the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art Cartridge and the letters from Birthday Bash were cut out at 1.5 inch with shadow and stuck on with plastic sticks on either side to push into the cakes.  I used balloons from Birthday Bash to decorate either side of the Banner cut at 2 inches.
Welcome also to my latest follower and thanks everyone for all your lovely comments.  Much Appreciated.  XX

Canvas's using Art Philosophy & Best Friends

Hi This is a couple of canvas's I made using the flower feature from Art Philosophy all cut at 3.5 inches and the leaves from page 43 cut out at 4.5.  The back ground paper is from a Christmas paper pack by Dovecraft and the blue card is from Coredinations and cut at FTP on my Create from page 67 Font layer and sanded the edges.  Underneath the blue card is a frame from Better Together page 21 cut at  7 inches and stuck in using foam pads to add dimension, inked all round the edges using Colorbbox pigment cat's eyes.

The 2nd canvas is more or less the same but the background paper is from K&Company Ancestry.com pack.
The  main cut is from Art Philosophy page 66 cut at FTP on the Create and coredination paper sanded, assorted flowers from pages 69 & 70 cut at 3.5 inches with the leaves again from page 43 cut out at 4 inches.  I used wet glue like copydex to stick the paper to the canvas and Sailor 2 in 1 glue pen for the flowers and leaves.  A Dovecraft gem was also stuck in each flower and were also inked and edged with star dust stickes to give a dew drop effect.

All in all a really easy decoration to do and they look so effective.    I am loving the Art Philosophy cartridge. Thanks for looking.

Birthday Card using Nursery Tails, Enjoy the Season & Elegant Cake Art

This is my busy card make time so I will be posting more than a few times this month and the next probably.  Its much more fun to make the cards than buy them I must admit.  I originally started making my own cards as I could never find any I liked.  I used to like the pictures but not the verse or the verse and not the picture.   I also thought it would save me money but dont think thats true as I have enough supplies here to fill a card shop!!!

The main image is from Enjoy the Season cut at about 4 inches.  Mounted on a label from Art Philosophy cut at 4.5 inches.

Phrase is from Elegant Cake art cut at 2 inches with the shadow.

Pictures either side are from Nursery Tails cut at about 3 inches.

Gold Stickles used extensively although they don't show up much in the photo.  Paper is from M&Company Ancestry .com Pad, and is framed with some gold peel offs.

Card for the base is from Paper Mill Shop.

Thanks to everyone that has commented on my previous posts, it is much appreciated.  You are all very kind.  Thanks for looking.

Wedding card using Elegant cake art & Cricut Sampler

This is the card I actually sent to my friends Dad.  They got married Friday. So hope all went as planned and a nice day was had by all.  The Word Joy was cut on my Create at FTP, the flower was also cut out at FTP on my Create on a 6x6 size paper along with the base and shadow, fitted on using foam pads and edges inked using Shabby Pink ColorBox pigment cat's eyes ink.   Then a few pearls added to the sentiment.  The papers were Card base from The Paper Mill Shop, Papermania brown for the base, and Lidls for the Pink paper, Pearls also by Dovecraft.   The flowers were cut from a lovely piece of 12 x 12 paper which I cant remember the name of the stack.  Will put that detail in when I find it!!  Hope everyone is having a nice day.  Thanks for looking.

Wedding Card using Teresa Collins Sophisticated.

I made this for the wedding of a friends Dad.

Stretch Card template and instructions.

I saw this card and loved it so I thought I would make a template for it.  It is 30 cm wide and the shortest side is 7 cms  high to 18.5 cm high on the other side.  Cut two of these in your chosen card.

Then fold in half as shown then half again.  Cut a slit up to the middle of the first fold and last fold and then cut downwards on the other card on the first and last folds.

These then slot together as shown to make the lovely stretch card.  Please see my previous post for the decorated card I did using a Snowman from Enjoy the Season cart.  Thanks for looking.

Notebooks made for my Neice and Nephew

Hi Its ages since I last posted but with the school holidays its not always easy to get time.  Anyway here are some notebooks I made and a sweatie tub I made as  a present when I visited relatives recently.  The Shark is from Bucanneer page 11 and cut at 3inches.  The font is Hello Kitty Font cut at 1 inch.  They loved them as their names are not the usual ones so can't get anything like this.  Thanks for looking.

I did the shark as he probably swims as well as a shark and is the
5th best swimmer in NI for his age at the moment.

I just decorated a used container with paper and a rosette.  The sweetie bag toppers are made from the imagine shapes and deccorated with a fabric flower and an image from Bucanneer page 27 cut at about 3 inch.

Another layout this time using Enjoy the season & Elegant Edges

Hi another layout this is a bit of a miracle for me to do 2 layouts in on week so must have been inspired.
Title is from Elegant Cake Art cut at 2cms with shadow and stickled.
I used Elegant edges from page 44 lace edge.
One was cut to fit a 30 x 30 cms mat and the other was cut at 25 cms
The flowers are from Enjoy the Seasons page 6 cut at about  8 cms
I wanted to keep it black and white to go with the photos then give it a dash of colour with the flowers.  We were always playing outside in those days so flowers were quite appropriate.  Just dont look to closely at the photos!!
Thanks for looking.  XX

Found these old photo's and thought it's time to do a Layout!

These are photo's of my basic training with the Royal Air Force.  We had just finished so was pretty pleased with myself and my new pals.  It's was a hard course and this was the first time I had been away from the family like this.  When I got leave, I walked all the way to my old place of work to show off in my best uniform.  What a good feeling that was!!  I will never forget that.

All lettering is done with Don Juan, the title is size 2.6 cms (1 inch) with shadow, Brackets were from page 68 with shadow, 7.7 cms (3 inches), Phrase 2.6cm with shadow and 2cms (3/4').
Grey and Blue card from Papermania pack, Glitter card from WHSmiths.
Thanks for looking.

Enjoy the Season Christmas Stretch Card.

Even though its the school holidays I just had to show you this card.  I have been watching shows on Create and Craft here in the UK and they have some lovely card ideas including the Stretch Cards.  I thought I would give it a Cricut make over.

Cuts are from page 20 using all layers and 22 just using the tree and 19 using the snowflakes I think at about 10cm.  I really must keep a note of the sizes better.  Also decorated using the lovely Crystal stickles and a Christmas peel off.  Paper is from the Paper Mill Shop cut from A4 size paper.

Thank you everyone that is following my little blog.  I love all your lovely comments.

Another Buccaneer card this is entered into my first Challenges!

The challenge was just to use something found in the sky like clouds, birds etc
Details on the blog site here: http://papercutzchallenge.blogspot.com/ and also

So I already had this card made which was ideal.  The seagul has been cut out at 10 cms (4 inches) and the words were done about 3 cms (1inch), I think.
The word book is a bought one and covered in paper from a Walmart pad.
Seagull cut at 2inches I think, I did some extra layers to add more dimension.
Ribbon from my stash and have decorated with crab and pirate and other images.

The Album I have made for my Sister In Law when I visit next month.  I do love all the images so far on the Buccaneer cartridge and think its the best one out there.

Thanks for looking.  xx
